Recent problems with the Celiac Bay Area list

Hi to all the Celiac Bay Area members,

I am a moderator one of the founders of this list. Recently, due to several

messages that were posted inappropriately (you know, various sorts of spam,

usually some kind of message about singles etc), I asked the list owner (who

has moved out of the area) to change the group settings so new members'

messages could be moderated, thus sparing you the spam. Unfortunately,

things went wrong and the message status was set at moderators only being

able to post messages. This resulted in all the messages since April 6

being lost.

I don't get a chance to go online very often, so I didn't realize what was

going on until today. I have now changed the settings as I had originally

intended them to be, and hopefully the list will operate as it did before,

only spamless.

I apologize for the length of time it took me to figure this out and for all

the lost messages (I will try to get them back, but it doesn't seem likely).

Please continue to use this list as the important resource it has become for

the Bay Area celiac community.
