Guest guest
This rainy afternoon I read a Daphne duMaurier short story set on Crete; a character who is vaguely presented as a reincarnation of Pan brews beer from spruce needles and ivy. In college, decades ago, friends and I brewed beer from heaven-knows what, reassured by a chemistry major in our group. I have no idea what it would have tasted like, as every bottle exploded. H.
