I have not posted on this list in a long time. But I have a question

to ask. I had the DS back in May and I am doing wonderfully. My

Aunt however is not doing well at all. She did not have the DS she

had the RNY back on December 5th, 99. She is still in the hospital.

well, now in a rehabilitation facility. It will be a year for her in

just a few short weeks.

After her initial surgery she developed a leak and the snowball just

rolled from there. I have been out of state for the last 5 years and

I just got back. I went to see her and it is so sad. She is in good

spirits and that gives me hope. I guess I just want to get her out.

She has a fistula from the multiple surgeries she has had and she

isn't even able to have water. She has also suffered from infection

after infection. I want names of other surgeons with complication

experience. I plan on contacting Dr. Welker in Oregon. Any others?

Please help.
