Meet your online friends...plan a bash!

You had me laughing there cuz I was thinking the same thing. I swear

when I get close to my goal, I want so much to meet my New York

sisters and brothers.

I have been members of different chat groups over the past 6 years

that have come and gone according to the network Gods! However, I

have remained friends with my first online friends including my hubby

who I met online. One thing the different chat groups had were

bashes. They would centrally locate a meeting place for a weekend

for online friends to meet and there were gatherings in NY,

Washington DC, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Las Vegas. A couple of

folks would take the leadership in planning the " bash " including

making arrangements with a couple of local hotels for group rates,

planning a meeting hall with music and all of this was basically for

as cheap an outlay, (Maybe 20 dollars chipped in over your hotel and

travel) to meet the folks you have so closely bonded with.

I would love an east coast even where I could meet all of you, and in

turn would love to plan a west coast event! What do you think? I

know money is tight for all of us, but for those who could see their

way clear to handle it, it would be great fun. Because it takes at

least six months to plan a " bash " If we started planning now, We

could have our first event sometime during the summer next year. I

want to meet the Numbah 1 , and and her mom and Rich

and 1 & 2 and everyone else who posts to the board from the

midwest and west coast that would consider going out there!

Anyway...just a thought. Anyone else feel it would be something they

would like to do? Recommendations for cities? Time frames? Hosts?

We can compile some of this information and then run a poll to vote!
