Got a little worse lately because of flare but I use Mayo once a week and it really helps. Jackie Hair Has anyone else got really dry hair when on immune suppressants? It was very long and I went to the hair dresser and had it cut off into a pixie. I decided I wanted to be sassy instead of watching it break off. Guest guest Posted March 24, 2011 Report Share Posted March 24, 2011 I actually got hairier on steroids, but since being on Imuran I have lost all of my body hair (except for some thin ones on my legs) and about half of the hair on my head. Luckily I had really thick hair, but the front of it is getting very thin. It didn't help when my mom said, "You used to have such beautiful, thick hair." She is most understanding about this disease, though, and she has taken me to more doctors' visits than I can count.
