Guest guest Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 Donna, I believe some feel it is better to take things that boost the levels of glutathione rather than actually taking glutathione itself (foods high in sulfur help). I also have read that low levels of magnesium can also somehow result in lower levels of glutathione. When the liver is healthy, it usually can produce adequate amounts of glutathione; thus optimizing liver function is a great idea (some say milk thistle). Of course, that is in a typically functioning person. Below is an article by Jill , PhD (wonderful lady!) that I hope you can plod through.
