Guest guest
http://www.mothering.com/sections/experts/tenpenny-archive.html#tetanus There's some good info at the above link to help you decide. [ ] tetanus boosters for teenagers My NT son is due for his tetanus booster at his upcoming 14-year-old check-up. He is fully immunized up to this point. (It was only in the last few years that I became aware of the dangers of vaccines.) He is basically healthy, but he has psoriasis. His only reaction to vaccines was that 10 days after his 15-month MMR shot, he developed a fever. His brother is autistic. This booster would be 10 years after his last one, and I know that boosters are recommended every 10 years throughout one's lifetime. (I'm also due for mine.) I've been having trouble locating information about tetanus boosters in teenagers and adults. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Thanks, S. =======================================================

Check this chart for current composition of vaccines All tetanus boosters contain thimerasol. There is a single dose DT that contains trace amounts only, so if you decide to give this booster, you can request that one. Be sure to check the paperwork yourself, to be sure you are given that one and not another. Or you can waive the booster, go here and find your state to learn how to do it http://home.san.rr.com/via/STATES/allstates.htm Here is non-vax tetanus info http://www.mothering.com/sections/experts/tenpenny-archive.html#tetanus Dana
