Hemos recibido respuestas positivamente abrumadoras al enlace de descargas gratuitas de los materiales de salud de Hesperian en kreyòl haitiano, los cuales hicimos disponibles en el Internet durante los días posteriores al terremoto. Muchas gracias por reenviar, publicar y hacer accesible esta información por medio de Twitter, facilitándola a muchas más personas de las que hubiéramos podido haber alcanzado por nuestra propia cuenta.

Hesperian ha creado un enlace de información wiki sobre la salud en kreyòl; en el que, junto con las descargas gratuitas de los materiales de emergencia sanitaria en kreyòl, también ofrecemos descargas gratuitas del enlace Salud para Todas y Todos: Glosario de términos médicos en

kreyòl-español-francés-inglés , un proyecto conjunto de Hesperian y MEDICC (Medical Education ation with Cuba -MEDICC-, por sus siglas en inglés). Este glosario contiene más de 4000 palabras que le serán de ayuda a cualquier persona trabajando en Haití ya que: el kreyòl es el idioma que más se habla allí; las y los médicos de Hait & i acute; frecuentemente reciben instrucciones en español; los registros clínicos haitianos están escritos en francés y muchas personas voluntarias hablan inglés. Debido a que el glosario se encuentra en formato wiki, cualquier persona puede ser parte de este proyecto, añadiendo nuevos términos o interpretaciones alternativas. Para obtener mayor información sobre cómo participar en este proyecto por favor dirijan sus correos electrónicos (e-mail) a tawnia@... y por favor,

reenvíen y distribuyan estos enlaces a todas y todos los trabajadores de socorro, residentes y viajeros que ya están ahí, o a punto de salir hacia Haití. You have made these materials accessible to many more people than we could have reached on our own, and we have received overwhelmingly positive responses.

Now, with the help and collaboration of our partners and hundreds of dedicated volunteers, Hesperian has assembled a Hesperian Health Resources wiki on which, along with free downloads of emergency health materials in Kreyòl, we have also posted FREE DOWNLOADS of Hesperian and MEDICCs Health for All Medical Glossary in Kreyòl, English, French and Spanish. This glossary contains more than 4,000 entries that will help anyone working in Haiti, since Kreyòl is the most widely-spoken language there; Haitian medics are often instructed in Spanish; Haitian clinical records are written in French; and many volunteers speak English.

The purpose of this wiki is to share health information, so if you have adapted any Hesperian materials to create new materials -- such as flyers, pamphlets, posters, or books with different content or illustrations – we encourage you to send them to us. If you have materials to contribute or if you'd like to participate in some other way, contact tawnia@.... And if you are interested in contributing terms to the Health for All Medical Glossary in Kreyòl, English, French and Spanish, please post a note under the "discussion" tab. And please forward the links to this wiki to every relief worker, resident, and traveler already in or leaving for Haiti.
