Why is Chat not available in Yahoo! Groups?

Due to our ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience, Java-based chat is no longer available for Yahoo! Groups. We are focusing on improvements to this service using the latest Yahoo! Messenger chat technology, which the majority of our users prefer and is available today.

I don't think I want to go through the hassle of using that for chat. I use it to talk to my extended family internationally and it would get too confusing for me. It would always be telling me when someone is online. I don't think it would be very realistic for a group our size. I hope they fix the chat room soon. I am going to miss the chats.

Hmm this is interesting...If I go to chat before 9:00 i can get in.,... if i go AFTER 9:00 i get error mesages

Apparently chat is not available through the yahoo groups anymore. At

least thats the message that I got. Its too bad because I really wanted

to chat!
