Is ALA really that much more powerful than DMSA and mercury clearance?

I noticed a a section in the AI book that I haven't noticed before.

It claims that DMSA doesn't have a very significant impact on mercury

clearance but ALA does.

I'm a little surprised by this because I have spent most of my time

with DMSA. I've been using ALA as of the last month and I feel it's

more effective.

My question is DMSA really somewhat trivial in how much it effects

mercury excretion?
