Guest guest
We are pleased to hear so much discussion about tuberculosis and immigrant communities. We at the RWHP are in the beginning stages of a needs assessment that focuses on knowledge and beliefs about tuberculosis of Spanish-speaking immigrants. We are working in the Southeastern states and are open to visiting states in this region to continue this assessment. We are utilizing a combination of needs assessment tools: surveys, interviews, teaching sessions with community members and promotor programs. We will be happy to share our findings once they are tabulated. The outcome of the assessment will be the development of a training kit for clinicians on farmworker culture and for the development of educational materials for the target population. Drop us a note and let us know your experiences, concerns or interest in working with us!
