Guest guest
Greetings colleagues, I work with the Central Coast Environmental Health Project (www.ccehp.org) in Santa Barbara, and was recently invited to be on this list. Thank you for the opportunity to participate with you. CCEHP is in the final phases of conducting a demographic assessment of Mixteco farmworkers in Santa Barbara County, focusing in Santa . Although we do not claim this report to be a scientific document, but we do know it will provide a better picture of this growing population in our region, and will benefit service providers, health agencies, employers and others working with migrant workers. In order to give this report the credibility we believe it deserves, i'd like to ask anyone who cares to reply about the process of getting something " peer reviewed. " Being unfamiliar with the process, i'm not sure it's even necessary for a document such as the one we are working on. Again, this is not a scientific report. However, it seems beneficial to have someone review it who is well versed in the particular subject matter. We are in the final stretch of completing this report, and would greatly appreciate any thoughts or feedback. I am more than happy to share information about this project with anyone who is interested. In addition, if you would like to attend the public release of this report, or be sent a final copy, please do not hesitate to contact me at the numbers below, or at this email address. Many thanks, eric -- Cardenas, CCEHP Director Santa Barbara Tel. (805) 963-1622 Fax. (805) 962-3152 Santa Tel. (805) 922-8452 Fax.
