Guest guest
Hi...I am sure that this has been covered somewhere in previous messages, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me a sense of the dosing on the NN Omega 3-6-9 (adult) liquid (the lemon flavored stuff). My daughter is a 24 lb 6 oz 19 month old (15 months corrected, since she was born at 23 weeks) kid. She hasn't been officially diagnosed (we are awaiting our diagnostic appointment) but has obvious speech issues that are not being helped by traditional speech therapy through Early Intervention. She's doing great otherwise and has no gross or fine motor skill issues, just speaking, feeding (texture related) and possibly some sensory issues. I've been eager to try the omega fatty acids after reading about their potential impact in various places. But I have no idea how much to give her. Secondarily, how do you guys get your kids to take this stuff? I'm trying to mix some in with fruit purees we feed her (she only eats purees and a random cheerio or ten a day) but was wondering if there was a better way of making sure that she gets it in (I mixed a teaspoon into her lunch and she might have gotten some but a lot of it floated up to the top after she was done eating the couple of ounces of food that she took). Thanks in advance! Abby
Guest guest
Abby, I am the mother of a little one as well. I started this when my son was 24 months. We have made tremendous leaps and bounds. I started Charlie on the NN complete 3,6,9 w/ borage oil. 2 caps per day. I also started on 400 iu of vit E. (Check the vit E files). The most important thing you can do is make sure that you have someone knowledgeable about vitamins looking over your nutrition and vitamin intake. These are little guys and gals. I use Dorfman. www.kellydorfman.com. There are many knowlegeable moms and dads out there as well. Hope this helps, Colleen Mother of Charlie 30 months [ ] Questions re: dosing, etc, on NN Omega 3-6-9?
