Hi Jemima,

This must be a very rough time for you and your husband. It sounds to me

that he is not being medicated properly. Unless you become aware and

knowledgeable about the testing (knowing what tests should be run and what

the results should look like), you will be in the dark and at their mercy.

If you haven't done so, please get a copy of all lab results. If you don't

understand them, post them here and we will help.

At 07:18 AM 10/10/2003, you wrote:

Baby Jonah is now at 22.5 weeks.. and he has been kicking and stretching HARD

since about 19 weeks...

Noah ( my 21 month old) kicked all day long... and all night long... while

he was born 9 weeks early... my husband is convinced that he kicked a hole in

the bag of waters.. LOL

Perhaps you will have a calm and easy going baby girl there??

OR she is just resting so when she is born she can give you a run for you

I am glad she was okay in there. I went at about 29 weeks because i did not

feel mine all day and I was very scared. My little man has been an active boy

this pregnancy but lately is getting calmer and quieter.

My little girl is just about 2 weeks behind yours and she dosn't move

much either and never has. Since about 16 weeks she has ALWAYS been

head down spine forward like she was already in position. I get an

ultrasound every 4 weeks so there has been quite a few. I do notice

that when I do feel her move it is in the middle of the night or

early morning so if I happen to be very tired I sleep through it. If

I am having one of my many sleepless nights then I feel a lot of

movement. Even then it is more wiggles and squirms with a couple of

gentle kicks - NOT what I hear other people saying about the dancing

going around in their tummy. My doc says that some babys are just

calmer and as you get bigger there is less room so they move less.

Also babies go through periods of growth and rest so there can be a

couple of days where there is less movement then there will be a lot

for a couple of days. I have tried drinking something cold and sweet

like juice when I want to feel her move(that was the doctors

suggestion) but it only works sometimes just as when I try pushing or

wiggling my belly which also only works sometimes. They said I should

feel at least 15 movements during the day and when I try I can but

otherwise all of her movements come during the night. I'm sure if you

give it a couple of days Aida will be squirming all around again. -

move at all today...I ask her everyday. She said you know what I

don't think she did...of course I started worrying. I gave it about

an hour then we called the dr. he is on vacation so the dr on call

stated for us to go in for an ultrasound...we have not seen the baby

for about 10 or so weeks...well guess what she is just LAZY!!!...he

tried everything...slapping his had against her

stomach...nothing...she would not even move...plus she is already

4lbs 15oz. And e has 6w1d left to go...she is so cute...does

anyone have the same problem...child just doesn't want to move?!?!?

Adam,

Ask your wife's Dr about the betamethazone injections (or

Celestone). They mature fetus's lungs faster. We always try to get in

at least 2 before delivery in preterm babies. Its worth mentioning to

mature those lungs faster! I had to take a prednisone dose pack at 7

months b/c of poison ivy so at 36 weeks when I was in preterm labor

trouble, my amniocentesis was mature.

ask about it!

Although you can bet you won't be pressured into termination should there

ever be a problem. I only say that becuase some Dr's don't believe in anything

less then a perfect baby.

It is extremely important you feel comfy with your OB....

I would tell her this...

" Thank you Dr xyz.. I really do appreciate your concern for my eternal

life... however.. at this very moment I am more concerned about the life of my

unborn child. Can we please focus on my maternal health and not the longevity

K & a,

Great way to put it. " Thank you Dr xyz.. I really do appreciate

your concern for my eternal life... however.. at this very moment I

am more concerned about the life of my unborn child. Can we please

focus on my maternal health and not the longevity of my soul? "

I am a Christian woman but feel that my health care providers would

update

Hey all,

I am SOOOO TIRED...It has been a long 1 1/2 weeks. As you all know e

has been in the hospital since last monday because of nutrition and sleeping

issues. WELLL She is still there! I came home to clean up and pay the

bills...the amnio came back on monday that the lugs were immature as of last

Tuesday. so the Dr. stated that he would do the test again on Monday that just

passed and if it was ok he would induce...around 10 monday morning e

started catching contractions...they moved her to Labor and Delivery ward...she

had them for about 3 hours...then they stopped...I went to work at 4 that

day...well she called me about 9 crying and saying that there was something

wrong with the baby...her heart rate was low...I rushed back to the hospital and

found out that she was catching some BADDD contractions that was making Adia's

Heart rate drop...they said that was not good...the Dr. came around 10 and

checked her...she was dialating...she was about 2cm...and then he said that he

felt the umbilical cord...it had slipped through and he said that it would

probably come out first and get clamped...he said he could put her in labor with

the chance he probably would need to do an emergency c~section...or she could

just get it over with...so we decided for the C~Section...

Update

Well I went for my first OB appt last Tuesday 8/24/04 and the confirmed the

pregnancy but couldnt find the heartbeat. So I went today for an U/S. I have

to go to Maternal Fetal because of the kidney disease. They only allow one

person to go in the back with you so my mother in law and husband were gonna

take turns...My mother in law was gonna go first...We get back there and soon

as

she puts the thing to my stomach she tells my mother in law to go get my

husband...Said nothing is wrong but whe wants us all back there. He comes back

and she said " NOthing is wrong I just wanted ya'll both to see your BABIES at

the same time "

Not only did I get pregnant on the pill we are having TWINS!!!! I am STILL

in shock.

THey estimate me to be around 10 weeks which is why they couldnt find the

heartbeat last week in the dr's office. I feel much better know after seeing

them. Both babies look PERFECT so far and I go back in 4 weeks.

MY EDD is 3/29/05

WE will try to find out th sex of the babies asap...
