In the past year, MCN has heard of several instances in

which both border and interior immigration enforcement practices has resulted

in blocking migrants’ access to health centers and outreach programs.

In some cases, the blocking of access has been somewhat

tacit in that the general fear of being apprehended keeps migrants away. But

more recently, the immigration enforcment practices have been anything but

subtle. Several organizations have told us of partnerships between ICE

and local law enforcment agencies and actual blockades near health centers.

We’re wondering if you have heard of anything

like this in your area. This is very important to track and document so

please let me any anecdotes along these lines.

Thanks, Amy
