Guest guest
Hi all, As things currently stand, all EPA-approved pesticide labels are in English only. Since many Spanish-speaking workers now mix, load or apply pesticides, there is much useful information on the label that should be accessible to them. Pesticide companies currently make labels in Spanish -- and other languages - for purposes of selling their products in Puerto Rico or abroad. We are now advocating that the EPA establish a system for making foreign language labels available throughout the US (in addition to Puerto Rico). Below is a message from Ruth of EPA requesting informal comments. Please supply any useful information that you can. Thanks, Dear Colleagues, I would be interested in receiving any evidence on the need for, or efficacy of, bilingual English/Spanish pesticide labeling.
