Guest guest
Hi Elaine, I was reading with interest the groups last few posts about low body temperature. I have always had a low temperature, and I don't know if this is the rp. It is still low, even now. And I am always feeling cold, even when I have a temperature. I very rarely feel hot. I think my highest temperature was 106, when I was in the hospital, and they did the ice bath thing. Luckily, I was really out of it. danielle > I wonder if low body temp before the RP is something that is common through out the group? > Elaine > Re: Digest Number 1967 > > > In a message dated 09/03/2001 5:47:08 AM Central Daylight Time, > Rpolychondritis@y... writes: > > << My normal is in the > 96.6 range. Guest guest
My body temp is between 97.5 to 98 degrees. I consider a temp of 98.6 as a low grade fever. Marilyn R/Savannah

Guest guest
Hi le, You make the thriteenth in the group. Thanks for letting us know. Seems like it's a very common thing in the group for something that is supposed to be uncommon. Guest guest
, Is there anything else that you do for your breathing problems? Cathy, I've been on methotrexate for 2 months now and even though I can't say that I'm improved (because I'm not--I still feel out of breath after 1.5 blocks) I get these crazy lapses of normality. I'll be doing something, like walking or even reading a book and I'll get this feeling like I'm absolutely normal again. They last only for a few seconds. Compared to how I've been feeling since April when my throat problems started, these lapses have been a great welcome! so aside from the meds (still on Prednisone too), I've been on the aggressive the last few weeks as far as getting tests done: breathing tests, pulmonary tests, & CT scan. Last week I had a sleep study done and hopefully will get a CPAP machine to improve my breathing. Is your father getting any pulmonary type testing done? What kind? Oh, BTW, my CT scan showed that my throat isn't as bad as they thought, so a stent isn't my only option. Thank God! Everyone: I am still getting these nasty headaches (off and on all last week) and feeling really achy. I can't take aspirin as it will react with my NSAID. My usually-normal blood pressure has been high for the past 2-3 wks so now I'm on Dyazide (a diuretic--and already I'm seeing my face is less puffy!). My teeth are still sensitive and I feel, along with the headaches, that I'm reaching a breaking point dealing with all this pain!!!! I used to take Vioxx but quit about 2 wks ago (because of the hoopla) and I'm trying out Relafen (not as longlasting as vioxx). I'm really tempted to go back on vioxx, at least it took care of the regular aches and pains. I now wake up in the mornings coughing like crazy, in pain because my chest wall/ribs hurt from the RP. I know we talked about teeth pain before and pain in general. I'm venting, but I'm also asking for suggestions, if anyone has any. It seems that lately, I've taken 5 steps forward only to be pushed into taking 3 steps back. It's so frustrating. ===== When choosing the lesser of two evils, I always like the one I haven't tried. -- Mae West __________________________________________________
