A Free Workshop for Parents

This workshop is designed to provide parents with an overview of Assistive

Technologydevices and services. Discussion and hands-on activities

will address the use of AT within educational programs, as needed, to

support students' access to learning. Parents will gain an understanding of

the assessment process to determine a student's need for AT, the selection

of appropriate AT devices and how AT can be effectively used in school

settings. Participants will be provided with a packet of resources to take

home with them.

Office of Special Education Programs, have teamed up to support schools and

districts in their efforts to increase the involvement of parents and

caregivers of children receiving special education services.
