Guest guest
This is a letter I received from Dr Pete Hayden. His email addy is mrh29@... if you would like to correspond with him. I hope this finds you and yours well Mark Hi Mark, I was so sorry to hear of your recent hospitalization and scary reaction to your meds! I am glad you are now home and hope you are continuing to improve. My wife had all four of her parathyroid glands removed and is starting to do some better. She has been stable for two weeks. I have been on the road with lectures and have started teaching at the Univ to the second year medical students. I enjoy the teaching and being around the Univ. Med School twice a week. I spend the entire afternoon there on Tues and Thurs. We a have a new forward looking program there called Problem Based Learning in contrast to straight didactic lecturing and memorization. MY last two article I have submitted for publication have been loved by one reviewer and hated by the other reviewer and the editors have to go with the negative review. I have been very stymied by this state of affairs in the reviewing process. I have now rewritten both articles and now do not know where to send. I will go to the Univ of Kentucy at Lexington and also Louisville and there I will get their advice. People at Missouri Univ. havent been able to help me out in the decisison process. It is all so frustrating at this point in time. IN frustration I have started on a paper I have always wanted to write regarding homocysteine so maybe something goood will come of all this. Thanks for the heads up on the Forum, I knew this was a problem as the web guy told me he was moving his storage and that it would be down for awhile. I trust he will get it fixed soon. I hope Byrdie (my wife) can stay stable for awhile as both of us are growing tired of the seemingly never ending ritual of going to dialysis and complications.... We still have not given up. Of good news is that I have been ask by the NIH National Heart Lung and Blood Institute to review a large grant in Jan at land. I do not know quite how I was choosen but do plan to go as this will be a great learning experience for me. Great to hear from you and please do stay in touch and hope you can have a long stretch of feeling better and staying out of the hospital. pete Hey Pete. I went to check out your forum tonight and when I click on your link I recieved this message Fatal error: input in flex scanner failed in /home/sites/www.amyloiddiabetes.com/config on line 1 Haven't heard from you in a while.
