Dear Farmworker Health Colleague,

Farmworker Health Services, Inc. is accepting

submissions of innovative outreach practices for the 2007 edition of the Innovative Outreach Practices Report.

In our efforts to enhance outreach and

prevention strategies nationwide, FHSI publishes annually the Innovative Outreach Practices Report which

features a variety of outreach practices from farmworker-serving health

organizations nationwide that have been shown to work successfully in serving

farmworkers. The purpose of this report is to provide a vehicle for

organizations to learn effective ways to increase farmworkers’ access to

care, decrease health disparities, and deliver culturally and linguistically

appropriate health care.

All 330

(g) grantees serving farmworkers that submit an innovative outreach practice

will automatically be considered for the Sister

Cecilia B. Abhold Award for excellence in farmworker health outreach

services.

Applications

will be accepted until September 8, 2006. Innovative

outreach practice guidelines, a submission form, and an “FHSI priority

areas” description are attached here. Guidelines for the award are

also attached. You can also access these documents via our website:

www.farmworkerhealth.org.

Please direct any questions to Kristie McComb at submissions@....

Thank you in advance—we look forward

to the opportunity to share your great ideas and effective outreach practices

with farmworker-serving health organizations nationwide!

Best regards,

Kristie McComb
