I picked out a lot of names from the patient contact page on Dr. R.'s website, then I forwarded a simple request asking if they'd consider being my contact. If they replied " yes " , I then forwarded a list of questions for them to answer. Some answered all of my questions, some just wrote out their accounts of their surgery, and some even offered their phone numbers. I called three or four, and all my conversations were really helpful. You get to ask a lot of questions you didn't think of initially. I ended up with many more than 10 contacts - I ended up having so many questions, and didn't want to commit to the surgery until I'd gotten good solid answers to them. Good luck - to both of us!
