Guest guest Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Hi , I had the same thoughts as you. Realizing that as my hubby and son were rubbing my growing tummy they were actually caressing my intestines, lol. I read that the majority of your tummy during the early pregnancy stages is because your intestines and stomach are being pushed up. At 5 months 6 days now, its obvious that the babies are creating the bulk of my -getting huge- stomach, especially since I can track and see their movement over every square inch of my gut. I also feel like I'm back at the beginning of my post WLS days. Where, early in my pregnancy, I was once able to eat a good 8 oz or so of food I can now only eat a couple of ounces at a time. I think the babies are taking up enough room that my pouch is getting squished and can't hold much any more. It takes a good hour for me to eat my entire 6-8 ounce meal, but my OB isn't letting up on his demand that I eat more. I originally lost 10 lbs in my first trimester, gained 6 back and have now lost another 4 lbs. Although the babies are growing perfectly, my doc is worried that I'm going to be left depleted. I'm still trying to figure out how I can possibly eat all day long and still get my fluids and vitamins in. I'm working at it, but it sure feels like a chore.
