Dear Colleagues,

Below is a request for information on key research

issues on farmworkers to be included in a report on farm labor from the

Economic Research Service of the USDA. Mr. Kandel can be reached via the

Interagency listserv. The Interagency groups consist of federal agencies and

national partners with an interest in farmworker issues.

Subject: Soliciting Ideas for Farm

Labor Report

Dear Colleagues,

Following our web-based meeting this morning, I would like

to solicit suggestions regarding key research issues on farm workers. My

division in the Economic Research Service of the USDA is weighing support for a

new report on farm labor that would be descriptive and offer analyses on key

issues. I’ve already produced an outline based on my read of the

issues, but it would be very helpful to know what you folks consider the

critical issues we should be examining. We’re especially interested

in policy implications and the target audience for topics. All

suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for your assistance.
