Guest guest
It's been awhile since I posted and a lot has happened in the last few weeks. I figured we would let everyone know what was going on. Keigan had a skeletal survey done to document his asymmetry. He is 3 cm short on his right leg. He also had an ultrasound on his liver and kidney's for abnormalities. That all came back normal. We switched to a developmental pedi. due to our doc just not being what we needed. He tried to tell me the skeletal survey was for bone age and he was 2 months behind. When I said it was to document his asymmetry he told me no and that I had to figure it out for myself. So I did...I got a new doc Anyway the new doc I love. He answered my whole list of questions I brought in except a few. Those he caled an endo he knows and got answers there. On the skeletal survey Keigan had a " boot shaped heart " which can be a sign for a congenital heart defect. We go in next week for an echo cardiogram to check that out. It was also reccomened we go to a helmet clinic due to a very uneven back of the head. On top of that we have an ultrasound scheduled to see if they can find Keigan's missing testicle. They can't feel it anywhere. We were also given a glucose testing kit to monitor for hypoglycemia. So far all the readings have been good. As of yesterday, Keigan is 10Lbs 4 Oz and 22 Inches long. Yeah he grew!!! I think that's about it for right now. Mommy to Keigan 4-15-03 (RSS) and Tristian 9-26-
Guest guest
. Hi. I just read your post and wanted to say, good for you for getting a new doctor. That just wasn't right for him to say that to you. How unprofessional! I am glad to hear tha Keigan gained wweight! is 16 1/2 months old and only weighs 10 lbs. 8 oz. So, I am glad Keigan is really gaining! ) I hope everything turns out all right with his heart. You'll have to keep us posted. 's head is sort of mishapen and I was wondering about the helmet thing, too. It seems like it is longer in the back, like his head is oval shaped when you look at him from the side. I don't know. Just something I have been thinging about. I just wanted to reply to you. I hope he continues to do this well! ) Jodi R. > It's been awhile since I posted and a lot has happened in the last few weeks. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply I will let you all know about his heart once we find out. I am keeping my fingers crossed. As for his head..it is flat on one side in the back but normal on the other. We have been trying to position him so he is lying on his " normal " side. > > > Date: 2003/10/11 Sat PM 01:19:32 EDT > To: RSS-Support > Subject: Re: Keigan Update > > Mommy to Keigan 4-15-03 (RSS) and Tristian 9-26-
Guest guest
What they did was called a skeletal survey. They took a bunch of x-rays and I believe compounded exact measurments that way. It only took us around 20 min. and Keigan slept through the whole thing. If you are interested I would go ahead and ask the doc. > > > Date: 2003/10/12 Sun AM 01:56:40 EDT > To: RSS-Support > Subject: Re: Keigan Update > > Mommy to Keigan 4-15-03 (RSS) and Tristian 9-26-
