the long term surgical practices, such as the one at Mt. Sinai hospt in New

York.

Hi,

Did you take an anti-biotic during the sinus infection? Have you been

checked for C-Diff? This happened to me once preop, and I had weeks of the

watery stool (my kids used to call it " stinks like water " ). The anti-biotic

of choice was ceclor and it is known to cause c-diff.

When you say your protein levels have bottomed out, how low is that?

I am assuming your doctors are checking across the board for the scarey stuff

like adult onset muscular dystrophy (just thought about that one because of your

comment regarding muscle atrophy, which could also be related to the low

protein), MS, and some of the digestive track cancers? If they haven't done it

already, I know my MIL found her cancer as a result of a test of the abdominal

fluid - there is some type of count. Not that you don't already have enough to

worry about, but I would want to be sure they aren't focusing on the gastric

bypass to the exclusion of everything else.

My good thoughts are with you for a solution to this problem.
