Guest guest
Hey Y'all, Well, the subject says it all. I have not been here long enough to know what zippies are. WIll someone explain? THanks. Also, does it hurt getting tubes put in or taken out? I was told i would have a tube through my nose, one through my throat and be catheterized. Thanks,
Guest guest
Zip-n-squeeze bags a.k.a. zippies: Little zip-lock bags with straws attached to help people like us take nutrition after getting our jaws adjusted. Check out the web site. http://www.zip-n-squeeze.com/ Jay > Hey Y'all, > > Well, the subject says it all. I have not been here long enough to > know what zippies are. WIll someone explain? THanks. Guest guest
Zip-N-Squeeze bags. They really came in handy for me, though some people say that they had a hard time using them. I used those and a syringe. I liked them both but for different things Ask your OS about the tubes. I only had one nose tube, but some people have two. This was removed after surgery before I woke up... so I have no idea what it was like to get it removed. Some people here have said it was not a big deal. The catheter was a must for my case. It was put in after I was out and stayed in the night after the surgery. It was removed the next day before I was released. One condition for my release was that I had to use the bathroom on my own at least once. It was not a problem getting it out. Not exactly pleasurable, but once it was out it was like it was never there. I think I was asked to take a deep breath, then let it out. When I let it out, they pulled the catheter out. It didn't hurt having it in, but I could feel something there and so I didn't like it. ~Cathy what are zippies? Question about tubes Hey Y'all, Well, the subject says it all. Guest guest
Hi , Wow, at least they told you what tubes were going to be put in you. I was just there on Monday..and honestly, you will be so inebriated by the anesthesia that you won't even notice that they were there. But you will probably wake up with a sore throat and sinuses. -jane > Hey Y'all, > > Well, the subject says it all. I have not been here long enough to > know what zippies are. WIll someone explain?
