Hi all,

I had my surgery last week on November 12th. Ran into some complications with

massive scar tissue, but other than the surgery taking 8 1/2 hours (of which I

was oblivious, but my family was freaking) everything went well and I have been

doing great. Have finally felt like I've figured out an eating/drinking routine

for every day. The only thing I am not tolerating well at all is the Milk of

Magnesia the doc wants me to drink every night for regularity. I'm calling

their office today because I can barely choke the stuff down. I'm being very

creative with my pureed diet and have been pleasantly surprised by the tastiness

of my meals. My 8 year old daughter thinks it's absolutely hilarious to see me

eat out of 1 ounce little cups. I have lost 16 lbs this first week and that is

so cool!! Just wanted to check in. Thanks to all for the encouragement and

support, I definitely feel like my month's of monitoring this site was

beneficial in fully understanding what I was getting ready for.
