I went from surgery to recovery then to my own room. I just packed everything I wanted to begin with and it was there when I got in my room. Some people took baby wipes, robes, slippers, hairbrush, makeup, perfumes, whatever they were willing to keep up with. Some also took cd players books, etc. Wolfie Leeds, Alabama " Keep It Real & Off the Top " Lap Rny & Choly Dr. Lee Schmitt Medical Center East August 27,2003 336/280/

Guest guest
Something I just thought of since summer is here, and my surgery is right around the corner (June 24). Is boating off limits? I didn't even think to ask my surgeon, but my fiance just brought it up. I'm a runner, and I realize running is out of the question, so it seemed like boating should have been just as obvious; however, it wasn't! Any sugguestions on how long it would be off limits? The whole summer? carrie

Then, X-Rays will show if the bones have solidified enough for me to be able to get back at the exercises or not. The problem is, my surgeon explained to me, is that several exercises we do stimulate the muscles in the face (stimulate isn't the right word I think, but you'll understand) and this may damaged the screws or plates in a face.
