Happy Friday everyone...

I'm new here, and I'm sure this topic has been covered ad nauseum (pardon the

pun) but I'm trying to find a protein shake mix that doesn't taste like flavored

chalk.

My roomate had WLS on Oct. 23 and although she's been diligent about everything

from portion size to vitamins, she hides every time she hears me start up the

blender in our kitchen. So far, Isopure vanilla-flavored is the one she

'likes' best. But halfway through drinking it, it separates and well... let's

just say it loses whatever appeal it may have had.

Any other brands you can suggest?

BTW, are there any other family members or friends on this board? I'd love to

hear about your experiences as you help loved ones through the different stages.

Warmest Regards,

Barb

hi barb, lol!! she likes isopure, bleh! she can find samples @ wlssuccess.com

& vitalady.com (no i'm not a spokesperson). the one

i like most that was recommended by a group member is Champion Whey Stack, don't

even need a blender. also, @ the group's

main page, there are recipes, so the shakes won't be such a chore.

& yes, there's been parents, spouses, friends & children of patients on board.

it's awesome to see things from their perspective.

shakes and she tells you which one taste the best and what to mix

them with.

hi joanne! well, according to nutritionists @ support groups & my

personal trainer, WHEY is the way to go. something about having the

most essential amino acids or something. check w/ your health care

team. i'm nuts about soymilk, sometimes i have my whey shake w/

soymilk, i devour soyburger patties, & soy chips on occasion.

keep up the good work.
