Guest guest
hi Sara. I was just wondering how you got approved at such a young age. I ask because since I have gone through it now I really would like my daughter to consider it. She is almost 300 lbs and she is almost 21 years old. She is in college so she will be covered by my insurance until she is 23 as long as she remains a student. Since my insurance is really good about covering it I would really like her to do it while she can. I broached the subject with her and she is not really all that interested so I let it go. But I had heard that it's hard to get approval when you are young. Sorry if this is too personal for you. You don't have to answer if it is. Guest guest
Candi I am 29 and had my surgery last year. My mother had wanted me to have the surgery for years, and I went to an orientation. It scared me so much, i worked out and lost 70 pounds. Of course, I couldn't keep it off, which is when i decided to go ahead with the surgery. When I decided to do it, my insurance put it as an exclusion on my policy and they wouldn't cover it. Basically, what I am trying to say is that if shes ready and when shes ready, she will decide. You can't push her and make up her mind. Its very easy to sabotage and if she's not ready, its always a possibility. Good luck Mindi 277/191.5/115? Lap RNY 6/26/
