HI

clear liquids mean apple juice and sugar free jello and popicles, yes you are

right anything you can basicaly see through. NO it does not mean lumpy soups

or any thick liquid. Right after surgery i was only allowed pops jello sugar

free of course clear broth soups i had chicken soups no chicken. i also

tried egg drop soup from the chineese resturant. i dont no if the drs approves

that but i had it and it stayed down well. You really have to try thinks that

work for you and some things did and some dont. Good luck to you and God

Bless

It truly depends on your doctor. Each surgeon/nutritionist is different.

Some doctors will let you have popsicles and jello, some won't. My

surgeon had us on nothing but broth, Gatorade, juice and water for the

first week--that was his clear liquid diet. After that we were allowed

to add creamed soups, and hot cereals. So it really depends on your

doc.....

you must be able to see through it ...my surgeon told me i could have

nitrotech from gnc and he also allowed me to have the nectar protein drinks

because

they were made with water..some use the isopure from gnc as well..i have just

never tried them..i am STILL on clear liquids and YUCK i am sick of chicken

broth lol...clear means anything that is NOT milky....i have had wonton

soup(without the wontons), chicken broth, beef broth, popsicles, crystal lite,

decaff

tea(with spenda), nectar and nitrotech(for protein) and of course sugar free

jello...lots of jello....lol

dont forget any fruit juices are suppose to be cut 1/2 and 1/2 with water

because of the sugar content in juices..or that is what my surgeon says anyhow
