Guest guest
Hi , I really think you should try to get an evaluation from a Private Speech Therapist that is well educated with Apraxia and/or Autism. My son has had speech therapy at school since he was 3 and has been on a Special Education Class also since he was three (it is called EELP in Florida), but it was not until I started therapy with a specialized speech therapist at All Children's Hospital and supplemented him with the fish oils + Vit E that I saw improvements. I also came across a Nutricionist that one of the mothers from this group referred me to that has some really interesting information on supplements that you may want to check out www.kellydorfman.com, and if you look through this group's messages you can also get a lot of info on the supplements, it has made a big difference in our lifes. I was wondering if your daughter is complaining about her ears because of sensory integration issues... I am not very familiar with this, but maybe others from this group could tell you more. Some hospitals are part of a program called ish Rite Foundation that you may qualify for financial assistance for speech therapy depending on your income (I don't know the guidelines, but you can google scottish rite foundation and get more info and maybe find a clinic in your area). I hope this has helped.
