Dear Everyone:

I forgot my children's all time favorite for the list I posted yesterday -

smoothies. If your child can tolerate strawberries and banana, this is my

recipe:

1/2 bag of frozen organic strawberries

1 very ripe banana (frozen or room temperature)

1 1/2 cups of apple cider

1 cup of ice

1/4 cup of honey or to taste ( I add less and then taste)

They can eat right away or I freeze in cups for a frozen treat later. All their

friends ask for them when they come over. To change you can leave out the

banana, another I make I add frozen organic pineapple. To make it more like

sorbet leave out ice. I also make a plain pineapple smoothie with legal

pineapple juice. I do not add ice. Another variation to any of these is to add

some yogurt. These kids love them all. You can seek vitamins and cod liver oil

in the smoothies as well. I make a coffee almond drink for me as well. I will

write the recipe below Hope this helps, Eileen

Legal coffee concentrate (I use folgers instant with the bags) I put the bags

for 2 minutes in 1/4 cup of hot water then let cool in refrigerator.

1/2 cup of amond flour

1 cup of water

1/4 cup of honey ( may need more depending on your taste)

thoroughly emulsify in blender before add ice

Then add enough ice to thicken to a smoothie about 3-4 cups of ice. This recipe

makes enough for 3 smoothies. I drink one and freeze the other two for later.

When you take it out later you can eat like a frozen icee or microwave for 40

seconds on 50% power to get the smoothie texture back.
