Guest guest
Hello to all-- Although we've been doing dietary intervention (removal of casein/soy/citric acid, etc) since my son was 4 months old (due to severe gastrointestinal dysfunction from which he nearly died--and casein and soy intolerances were blamed), we've only been doing the SCD for 12 days now. No one knows to date what is wrong with my son's stomach, and he has has extensive testing with pediatric gastroenterologists. My son has mild autism, and definitely has the autistic hyperactivity/odd repeating of phrases, and these seemed to dramatically decrease just a few days into the diet. Now, on day twelve, the hyperactivity/odd repeating is back, coinciding with a bad bout of constipation (my kid is 7 1/2, and has been hospitalized 3 times for clean-outs). Has anyone seen anything like this before? I do have to say that the school has reported very focused days since we started the diet. I am 100% positive that he did not get ahold of any illegal foods. Also, his poop does not just smell rancid anymore. We are seeing good things, and are encouraged. I know my son's " problems " are related to his stomach--does anyone have a comment?
