Guest guest
Perhaps a good contact for you? I believe Lynn Hamilton, who wrote Facing Autism, lives in Colorado Springs. There is an Air Force Base there, her husband is a pilot. I could be wrong--it was awhile back. It would be worth emailing her--I did several years ago and she responded. She is very helpful, very informed and very well connected with the doctors. Lorraine > > There is only two doctors in our Colorado Springs Area that are > expereinced DAN doctors. Guest guest
Antoinette, the below symptoms can be signs of yeast/bacteria overgrowth or it could be improper chelation practices. How are you doing chelation? Hall Cutler's book is excellent: www.noamalgam.com He has researched the " low and slow " method of using small doses of chelator every 3-4 hours (including the nighttime). This keeps a constant level of chelator in the blood and allows the detox pathways to take care of the mobilized metals and safely elminate them. Currernt methods of chelation that include taking one large dose a day, or every other day, or using IVs, mobilize a very large amount of metals due to the chelator spiking in the bloodstream. This overwhelms the body's detox abilities, and thus the large amount of metals cannot be all excreted all at once... so they are stored back in the body again. With even more going back into the brain than before. See the " Autism-Mercury " Yahoo list for more info. Andy Cutler also posts there. Here are their group files: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ Jane and Luke SCD since 9/05 L. is almost 3. NT, but with lots of gut and sleep problems and some SID issues. His hair tests show high metals and I haven't decided that chelation is the best thing for him yet. Or me either. > > Chelation is not going well...I in particularly have been > having " rage attack " , depression, foggy mind...and feeling " drunk " > even though I am not drinking! >
