Guest guest Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 I am new at this and would really be so happy if as many lupies who have been on prednisone like me (for 20 years) , would contact me, because I am so sick and tired to being sick and tired. When I get a flare nothing helps but prednisone, but I am so scared of the complications. Is there anybody out there like me? I am 57 years old and my dr. had no alternative but to put me on prednisone. I have gained over 40 lbs. have the mood swings, moon face, bruise easily, hair thinning, etc. Every time the dr. weans me down on my pred., I end up getting another flare up. I have limited time on my computer so if you would please write back please make the subject and Prednisone. I really do need some support. There is no support group where I live, nor do I know anyone with lupus. I am glad I have found you guys who know what I am going through. I would love to hear your stories about lupus and medications. Love, Quote
