I also have a sensitivity to light. My pupils tend to stay dilated instead

of adjusting to light. That would explain why you can see in the dark. I

can too. My optometrist recommended that I get the glasses that get dark

when going outside and they also are coated to protect my eyes from the

computer screen glare. I also have prescription sunglasses to protect my

eyes since the other glasses are cancelled out by the UV strip on the

windshield in the van.

I have a question for you and the group.

Do you notice that your night vision has improved or gotten worse? I

am quite able to see in the dark, and I always have been, happily

this has not changed. >

My eyes are so light sensitive that my family says I must be an owl

or a cat. At night I can walk around with no lights on in the house

and see small details easily. During the day, that same sensitivity

leaves me cowering behind very dark sunglasses, trying hard to avoid

glare, streaks (when the sun glints off of moving objects) and hot

spots. Any unevenness in lighting triggers horrible hemiplegic

migraines, so I have to be really careful. I actually sigh with

relief when it rains, or at day's end when nightfall comes.
