Guest guest
My dear friends, I am back from seeing another opthalmologist, who was younger than the last one I saw, and she knew about EDS (hurrah). She said the reason my rh eye is a lot weaker than my lh one is genetic (none of the rest of the family is like this), and that the corneal ulcer is not EDS related, luckily it had been caught early so has not damaged the cornea. The steriodal drops will be done now 6x a day, and the drops every 3 hours, and I will be back either Friday or Monday to see how the ulcer is progressing. She mentioned what I had, which I didn't understand ..... a..... something or other, one eye is completely different to the other, its what was once called 'lazy', but in the past here in the UK, they would bandage the good eye to make the bad eye work, this was never done with me because of my eds. I explained about seeing 3d only through the good eye, since I can't see much light at all from the bad eye (blue, cream etc), and she could explain this... I wasn't going potty thank goodness. I explained about flashing lights, and those lights (coloured) at parties, which I can't cope with, and she fully understood. I've been like this since birth (eye wise), is this anything to do with EDS, are there others out there with one good eye, and one very weak eye. I have EDS III. None of my family are like this, I seem to be the odd one! With love and gentle hugs and thank you so much for the prayers, -- Lorraine
