Guest guest
Hi, after learning that the NiH study was open for worldwide participants I had a few questions. 1) I am totally geographically illeterate (can't spell it either lol) where is the study being done? Where is this close to? (How far from southern ontario basically, or if easier for american's, port huron is the same) 2) How long does the study last? Is it a standard stay or does your visit depend on the findings? 3) Do they provide accomidations for parents as well as the participant? I mean I know participant would be in the hospital, but is there a place for someone else to stay as well? 4) What all tests do they do? Is it the same for all the participants or do the tests depend on the participants condition? 5) Are they looking for all severities and all types? I think thats it. Looking forward to the answers Stacey
Guest guest
Hi , 1.The study is in Harbor Hospital, Baltimore land. Pull that up on your search and you'll find it. land is on the east coast of the US. A little tiny state. 2. You'll stay two days for each study. They would like to see you 3 times in 6 years. But you can attend just one, two or all three studies. The don't treat, your finding will be given to you and your Dr if you want your Dr to know. 3. Yes, the parent will stay with the child in the same hospital room. Free room and board. 4. The tests are the same for everyone. 5. Yes, all types, all severities. They are hoping to find a test to show all types. Even though they are in the early stages, they think they may have found the test. You don't have to have a DX.
