Guest guest
Don't even think about getting a THR if you want to play high level tennis again. If you progress like I did, you will notice that even in the 5th month post surgery-you will move better on the tennis court than you do now! Every 6 months or so you will notice big improvements in strength and court movement. I had surgery on 7-2-02 at age 50 and after 13 years of OA. The occasional problems that I encounter are pull/cramps in the calf (usually left one) and just my second groin pull two days ago. I think smarter and more regular rehab/conditioning would have helped me better. My injuries have occurred because I tend to overdo it. I think it is wiser to play one singles competitive set only at first before progressing to two sets. I have had few problems with doubles. Best to you.
