Don't even think about getting a THR if you want to play high level tennis

again. If you progress like I did, you will notice that even in the 5th month

post surgery-you will move better on the tennis court than you do now! Every 6

months or so you will notice big improvements in strength and court movement.

I had surgery on 7-2-02 at age 50 and after 13 years of OA. The occasional

problems that I encounter are pull/cramps in the calf (usually left one) and

just my second groin pull two days ago. I think smarter and more regular

rehab/conditioning would have helped me better.

My injuries have occurred because I tend to overdo it. I think it is wiser to

play one singles competitive set only at first before progressing to two

sets. I have had few problems with doubles.
