began by discussing the common problem in EDS of Lymph congestion and

cleansing. Exercise and water (good quality) is what keeps our lymph system

flowing and clear. One of the best ways to unclog a lymph system is

bouncing...trampolines if you are able, even sitting on one & bouncing on your

rear...or bouncing in a chair/wheelchair every day will help. (Bouncing & Typing

is HARD! Probably also explains why ADHD son is NEVER sick..he bounces ALL DAY!)

Lymph congestion prevents minerals from getting to your cells and causes

swelling, exhaustion, abnormal sweating (none to too much), cellular waste not

able to leave your body leading to kidney dysfunction. In addition, kidneys

control your blood pressure.

Most of our diets these days create a condition of acidosis, especially with the

high-protein diets. If your kidneys are working well, the ONLY time your urine

should be acidic would be in the AM...which shows overnight the kidneys are

properly processing waste. Animal products are acid foods, plants are alkaline.

Protein amino acids can pull out calcium from your bones and teeth in an attempt

to buffer the body from the acid in the meats. The optimum diet should be

balanced in animal and plant proteins....however these days our foods are too

deficient in proper minerals and high in toxins, so EVERYONE should be

supplementing their diets.

What are herbs? They are not drugs (those some drugs come from herbs), vitamins,

enzymes or minerals (though they contain all of these). They are FOOD and have

some of the strongest healing properties. Herbs are classified as HOT or COLD

and can increase or decrease the activity of various body systems, used

appropriately. There are 4 types of herbs, classified as aromatic, bitter,

astringent and astergelatenous (sp?). An herbalist learns which types and forms

can work to put the body back into balance.

To make a new cell, you have to feed your body right. LOTS of water, avoid the

bad, processed, non-nutritive foods and eat as much food RAW as possible. In

this country we have a SAD diet....STANDARD AMERICAN DIET. Our idea of veggies

is potatoes....per person, we eat 140 lbs of them a year, 51 lbs as FRENCH

FRIES! We eat 25 lbs each of tomatoes...but 80% comes as sauce or ketchup. We

eat 92 lbs of lettuce each...but mostly iceberg which has NO nutritional value

and TONS of pesticides. (Try spinach, romaine & kale instead). 300,000 of us die

seriously obese each year. 500,000 die from diabetes each year....and 5.2

million of us have it but don't know it. Of all the drugs we buy each year, 258

BILLION is spent on drugs for diabetes, heart, and cholesterol issues....all

fixable with diet. Of those that contract cancers, 40% have a dietary cause and

80% are influenced by an overload of toxins in our systems.

She covered the problem many have with intestinal issues, both blockages &

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, etc. If you have sleep problems, chances are you liver

is congested. Many Americans suffer from Auto-Intoxication, as self-poisoning of

our gut from slow transit times. Fiber is needed to decrease transit times,

which ideally should be 12-18 hours from " end to end " . To test yours, eat some

corn & watch for it to leave! 25-30 grams a day of fiber are needed. You can get

1/2 of it just by combining 7 grams of Raisin Bran with 1/2 cup All Bran or

Fiberall cereals once daily.

As to digestion & supplements: Stuff like Centrum is shown to pass entirely thru

the digestive tract without breaking down a bit. She recommends before starting

QUALITY supplements, you do a 2 week cleansing program first. MOST PEOPLE HAVE

TOO LITTLE STOMACH ACID, NOT TOO MUCH!!! The symptoms of UNDER-production of

acid is exactly the same as the OVER-Production of acid! (and no, high-protein

diets/acids doesn't mean you have more digestive acids...the compounds are NOT

the same...and meats are harder to digest and ferment worse!) When you eat a

meal and take an antacid or drug, then the meal just sits and ferments. FOOD

ENZYMES ARE ESSENTIAL IN ALL HEALTHY DIETS!

Now....she has lines of products on her website that she offers at COST that she

uses with the best results. Check them out! Here are a few of the things she

told us about the various items (and we got free tastes of several, all very

tasty!)

Pro-Actizyme Plus: NO acids in this, food enzymes. Take 15 minutes before meals.

Tai-go juice: Like very concentrated grape juice, take 2 ounces 2x a day.

Highest level of anti-oxidants anywhere, blend of several beneficial plants &

juices. Excellent for maintaining the collagen and venous systems for EDSers!

Para-Cleanse....for parasites (I'm getting this one due to constant exposure

from my job/pets).

Chlorophyll....very tasty solution added to water! Supports cardiovascular

system, anti-viral, anti-fungal, detoxes drugs from system, relieves

inflammation & edema, arthritis, crosses the blood barrier in a liquid form. Is

so close to actual hemoglobin that it could be used for blood transfusion.

Juice Plus & Veggie Plus (I've tried these...expensive but worth it!) Take 2

fruit in the AM, 2 veggies in the PM. $155 for 4 month supply per person.
