Hi

yes I have just been resurfaced by Mr Villar on the

3rd June 04. He was superb. Mr Villar origanally gave

me an arthroscopy in 96 and I have been seeing him

annually untill my resurf in June. I had one or two

complications, nothing to do with Mr Villar, but the

op has been a complete success. At just under 6 weeks

my ROM is amazing and within a week I expect to be

without crutches completely. Started back in the Gym

on Monday on a cross trainer and bike (low level 10

mins on bike and 5 on cross trainer) it felt

wonderful. Increased both by 5 mins today.

I also started driving at 4 1/2 weeks. Felt strange

the first time being able to get in and out of the car

with no pain or having to lift my right leg in and

out, a real blessing.

You should feel quite comfortable with Mr Villar as I

understand he was one of the original pioneers of the

resurf and started off working with McMinn and Treacy,

who if you have been a member of this site for long

will have heard of.

Do you have a date for your op. Are you a UK resident.

Any other questions please ask.

Will

Hello

Has anyone had hip resurfacing done by a Mr Villar in

Cambridge, UK? If so, any feed back

would be most appreciated.

Thanks
