Guest guest
Hi Grace, Im new to this group, but my daughter has eds and she gets migraines all the time. She is 9 years old and she takes fioricet for hers. It makes her really goofy, but it takes her pain away in other areas too. You might want to ask your doctor about that. I have fibromyalgia/cfs, bursitis and arthritis. I take vicotin, indocin, and norflex 2x a day and soma at night. This helps me with all my pain as well. I was wondering since we are new to this group if anyone could help me understand this eds stuff. My doctor told me to look it up on the net, but all I can see from it is that it is a disabeling disease. Is there anything I can do for my daughter to help her? She has type 3 and bruises easily and her cuts and scrapes and bug bites don't heal too quickly. Like 3 months of healing we are talking about. Is this something I should get her on disability for now, so that when she turns 18 she doesnt have to go through the whole mess herself? Thanks everyone. Hope the info I gave you helps any. Take care! Hugs!!! Becca and Grace gracieb1@...> wrote: This morning my 8 and 5 year old woke me up just before 7am. Normally this wouldn't bother me. But today.....UGH. My head hurts like crazy and it's making my eyes hurt and blurry. I'm now on my 3rd day with a head ache. The creepy crawlers are making it difficult to stand or sit up. My right leg is numb and has a warm and fuzzy feeling. My hips feel like they are going to collaps, making it very hard to walk. Plus my knee and back are being very painful. I say cut my head off and put it on a skiny healthy body.....lol I take Darvacet for the pain but it doesn't seem to touch it. I've asked if there is something else I can take and they said no. I don't know what to do anymore. I can't function with all this pain. I hate it! I have kids to care for. Does anyone have any idea's on what I can do for head aches, back aches, leg aches? lol How about just all the aches in my body? lol HUGGLES Grace To learn more about EDS, visit our website: http://www.ehlersdanlos.ca
Guest guest
There is recent research to show that taking Vitamin C and E in quantity helps prevent athletic injuries (which EDS makes us so prone to, without our having to do anything very athletic).
