Guest guest
Chris: I don't think there is any iron in them. Guest guest
Unless I misremember magnets are only attracted to ferrous (iron- based) metals; or alloys containing iron. Both chromium and cobalt are nonferrous metals. No iron. (Not ironic?) So...if you really want a magnet on your hip, I'd suggest a swath of duct tape to hold it (the magnet, not the hip) in place. Hobble on, hippy.. Guest guest
Cobalt is ferromagnetic, although the chromium in the alloy might interfere with that. I suspect you just need a stronger magnet if you're planning on using your behind as a bulletin board. ;-) Have you noticed a tendency for your leg to swing to the north? Maybe you could take advantage of this in PT to get some more passive stretching. ;-) Steve (bilat C+ 4/20/04, Amstutz)

Guest guest
Hummm, I don't know about after surgery, but did anyone try those pain-relieving magnets for their hip pain? Sounds like pseudo-science to me. I don't hang out in wrecking yards very much . . . anymore.
