I will be bringing my digital SLR with 10 times zoom and 3 separate memory

chips. That will give me several hundreds of pictures. I think we are

going to have a great photo album when we put all the pictures together.

I plan to have a tiny pink flamingo sticker to put on my name tag that will

signify I am a SoCal EDSer (and have some for other SoCal EDSers who want

to associate too) and the letters CEDA also to signify I am a CEDAer.

I was thinking about getting enough for others that would like to signify

too

Perhaps a separate tag or sticker that hangs below the EDNF name tag with

CEDA and our screen name.

I just think this might help even more to associate when we meet each other.

I have been to so many conferences in my day (not EDNF - others for my work

associations) that I have seen it all and the conferences and people that I

remember the most are the ones that I can remember who is who and the only

way that happens is if you are identified by your name tag.

What do you all think?

We're going to have more pics then we know what to do with. I also recently

got a new digital camera & did it now, because it will likely take me from now

until the conference to figure it out. I just don't know, as a nurse, I

handled hemodialysis units like it was a game of Bingo, handled multi million

dollar malpractice cases like they were 3 y.o. " Learning to read books " , etc.,

etc. BUTTTT these digial & computer related things, I honestly think are 30 &

over prejudiced! But I'm gonna do it, if it kills me.

As far as the stickers........ It's a great idea, especially for I.D.

purposes & you are right about remembering people, recognizing them & NOT

wasting

1/2 of the first day or 2, trying to figure out who everyone is.

BUT, the EDNF, in past years, has put sticker type things on the name tags,

with wording & colors, to signify different positions, etc., within the

foundation itself. And, I would just be concerned that with all of the

different

stickers it could get a bit confusing. I'm really not sure. Maybe you should

check with the organizing committee first, as they will likely issue the name

tags, as they have done so before. I myself, at some conferences in the past,

have sat at the registration table for periods of times & have personally given

them out, with the registration packets, as people registered & they were

always pre-prepared.

I do think it would be a great idea, especially if we could somehow identify,

people's " CEDA names " , on to the tags, or perhaps, as you said in addition

too (perhaps a clip-on that we could attach underneath the official EDNF name

tags). I know over the years it has taken me days, while at the conference, to

identify some people that I had been speaking to online for ages, And I gotta

tell you, that is very FRUSTRATING!

It is a great idea, especially because over the years, the number of people

attending the conferences has grown so much, which is fabulous! I have a

picture (somewhere) that has everyone that was at one conference, in the same

picture. I'm really bad at estimating, but I'm sure there were well under 100

people in the picture. It was like the 3rd or 4th conference, if I had to

guess.

And it has be exhilarating to see the numbers grow, year after year.

Well, let's see what other's have to say. Talk to you soon. Luv Ya,
