Lana: Do you mean to journal your signs and symptoms, plus any

strategies you try? Or other stuff?

Re: Digest Number 2802

Congrats ! :) And THANKS for the great idea to journal - I

hadn't considered that, but I think I will do that. I'm so happy so

many of us are in the study, as it can only HELP us ALL!

Lana:

My husband with ADD uses his PDA like a bible, couldn't function without

it. Wonder what he did with it? School has provided Meaghan with a

laptop, this year her first for it(so heavy for one with HEDS,) Perhaps

the PDA would be better, or additional) Thanks for the suggestion. Now

that my computer skills are improving, I sense that the PDA may be just

the ticket. Know what I need for Xmas. And have great ideas for

encouraging my daughter Bernie

Re: Digest Number 2802/ LANA

Hi Bernie,

I already have my family history written and will take that. It

includes what I have been diagnosed with, and just added what Mike

suggested. I plan to insert under the EDS diagnosis, their findings.

Separately, I will journal their suggested

treatments/tests/medications, etc. I also think I'll journal my

perceptions of the tests and the doctors, just for my own use. All

of it except for my perceptions will be placed on my PDA, which I

have with me at all times. In case of emergency, someone could open

it and find my Medical History, which includes all diagnosis and all

medications and all past surgeries. I had brain surgery in 1997,

which would not allow me to have the medication they give stroke

patients in the first hour to try to stop the stroke or lessen the

effects. My PDA also has all my addresses, personal and professional

as well as much, much more. If anyone were considering getting a

PDA, I STRONGLY urge you to do so! It has been a life saver for me

in more instances than one, and it's about the size of a wallet when

it's in it's case.

Bernie, I don't know if your daughter has one or ever considered one,

but my husband got one after he saw how much I use mine, and he now

relies on it heavily. If you remember correctly, he has ADD.
