Guest guest Posted July 26, 2004 Report Share Posted July 26, 2004 Male 49 years old Tomorrow I had a THR - MOM hip resurfacing operation two weeks ago and tomorrow on my birthday I will be having the clips removed LOL. Question for how long does the pain from the surgical wound last as this seams to be the only pain post op. The incision made by the consultant was very long and has 48 clips holding it together.I have been waiting for the Birmingham hip to be trailed about 5 years before deciding that the pain when I walked was not worth putting the operation off any longer. If anyone has any questions about pre op - The operation - or post op to date 2 weeks I will give you what information I can based on my experiences.
