Guest guest
Hi You might want to read some of my posts lately. I am 6 and 1/2 months post op and have never been out of pain (right BHR) and if I don't walk more than a block it is not too bad but I have pain on exercising or if I try to bike up a hill etc. I had a bonescan and blood test for infection and nothing has shown up yet but I still am not able to do much at all. Had you talk to your doc before? and if you got the second one done it must mean you had some satisfaction with the first one?? Because for me, I am still waiting to see how it goes with the first one before decicing on another resurf for the second one. take care Sunita pain` i read so many storys of people that have had there hips resurfaced and it sounds great. i had left and right hip done in 2001 and 2002. i have never been out of pain. if i dont do much of anything i am ok. i go see the dr. tomorrow to talk to him about this. the surgery did not go well at all. has anyone else had problems? thank you, christine

I had huge issues with the tight thigh muscles, so understand exactly what you are feeling. I'm now over three years out, and it has improved tremendously in the last year, and continues to do so. If I am going to have muscle cramps, it will be the left side that cramps first, but they are far less often and less painful than they used to be. I try to stretch a lot, and get regular massage. With that said, I wouldn't have asked the doc to do anything differently. I love having my legs match again, and the hips are pain free! Guest guest
Thanks for that Cindy, that gives me great hope. I do some stretching. I quite fancy trying massage. Just finding a good one. I quite agree I'm glad I had both hips done. Sheila. In surfacehippy , Cindy Gronbach wrote: > At 09:26 AM 7/21/2004 +0000, you wrote: > > My leg had to be > >lenghthened by 1/2 " .
