Beaten by a tooth!

I was supposed to be checking-into the Wessex Nuffield today for a BHR tomorrow

morning. However at the weekend I developed this awful tooth infection (my

dental check 1 month ago gave me a clean bill of health).

Being off pain killers in the run-up to surgery, the pain was exquisite. The

operation has been postponed by 6 weeks and I now go under the cosh on Friday

13th August.

Being self-employed I had run business down to give me 2 or 3 clear months. I

now have to bring some of my planned autumn projects forward without getting

carried away. My mobility is decreasing and afternoons are not good for me

anymore.

Just a little warning for everyone out there to be absolutely certain of their

teeth.

Best regards to all on the site.

,

How awful for you. Still feeling the huge hole in my mouth I know I've been

very carefull about that...I'm not the religious about it but think about

the trouble it could have given you if the infection showed up somewhere

else a few days later...

Also, I had to postpone my surgery a couple of weeks due to the fight with

my insurance company. It totally ()*^&^ up my work planning, holidays,

recovery help, etc. etc. But, I'm almost 5 weeks after surgery now and I

tend to forget all the misery pre op...

Good, luck the coming weeks, with regards

Mijke,

Thanks for your comments. I had psyched myself up for this operation-it was

quite a let down to have to put it on the back burner.

Hopefully the Penicillin will sort it out OK (the pain and swelling have almost

subsided). I'll see what the dentist suggests when I visit again next week.

Hope your recovery is going well

Regards

Guezo
