Hi,

I had a hip resurf on the NHS on 2nd June. I am 40 and live in Kent.

I was originally due to have a total hip replacement but kept opting

out when the date for op came through. I was fortunate that my GP

knew about resurfacing and referred me to the nearest surgeon doing

this type of hip. My advice is to go to your GP and get him to do

the work!!!! I waited seven months. With government rules now in

place you should'nt have to wait more than nine months. Take care

No problem, just get a referral from your Doctor for a surgeon. I am

Hi

Mr Fordyce carries out the BHR on the NHS at the kent and sussex

hospital, otherwise ask your gp to see a surgeon who does it, don't have

anything done by anyone you're not happy with, remember it's your choice

at the end of the day!
